Of all the things to leave behind…

I was actually coping fairly well with the pre-flight stress. I hadn’t spotted anyone who looked likely to blow up our plane (I have been spotting faux hijackers since the late 70’s – I’m a maven like that), we weren’t running late, security and customs had been a breeze.

The only real worry I had (other than the entire trip) was when to take my Xanax, should I take it as we boarded, when I got petrified or when I wanted to sleep? Yes, I am amongst the select few who can really stress about taking a Xanax which unfortunately, makes it less effective.

My sister was sitting next to me pretending to listen to my concerns when I decided that it was time to stop sweating and start swallowing. So I took the small bottle out of my bag and froze with horror.

I had brought the wrong bloody tablets. A full bottle of some  steroid my doctor had wanted to me take as a once off before a blood test. I had long before decided that I didn’t actually need the blood test but here I was lugging the stupid pills across the ocean.

I am not sure which set in first – the panic that I had nothing to help me deal with the panic or the disappointment that I had been so stupid. It wasn’t just the flight I was needing to deal with, I was actually okay with that since I had eliminated all terrorist suspects, but now I am looking at facing a week in South Africa with 11 people and nothing to er, make me easier to be with.

My one sister offered me wine and the other sister gave me the rescue pastilles she had brought along for exactly such a situation. The wine helped before it made me feel nauseous, the rescue pastilles tasted like plastic and probably had the same effect.

The thought of the over-the-counter cold and flu medication I grew up with being readily available when I landed helped the most – let’s just say it wouldn’t sell on Australian shelves because of what is probably the codeine and pseudo ephedrine quotient.
Kamagra is a popular name in this context. discount generic cialis my review here Peptides are manufactured around the world by spelevitra canada price t companies who sell their products to researchers and scientists to help them conduct their research daily. I hardly even became anxious when I realised I had forgotten to order vegetarian food. Instead I asked them for a spinach and feta pie which they were offering as a snack on our jaunt across the ocean. Sadly when they brought it to me I realised I liked the sound of it because of the pie, not so much the spinach and feta. The wine/rescue pastlles combo must have worked because when this was put in front of me I didn’t even cry.

Can you spot the lack of visible pie?

Then we flew another 5687 hours without incident (if turbulence is not considered an incident) and I leapt off the plane in search of cold and flu medicine.

This is going to be a fun week. I’ll keep you posted

  1. Oh Lana!

At least it is only a week! Is it possible that you could get into see your Dad’s dr to get some even just a couple of Xanax to get the flight home? Or is the OTC that good you won’t need the Xanax?

Thinking of you I hope this week is a good one for you and that you do get a moment to breathe.

    C xoxo
